Gary Hume @ White Cube Hoxton Square

Upon reading a guardian interview, which didn’t paint Gary in the best light, i thought i should go and have a look myself. So i popped in and had a look at the Hoxton bit of the Indifferent Owl exhibition.

His technique for painting is interesting (bright colours, somewhere batik and opaque stained glass). I like his more abstract compositions more than the figurative stuff but it didn’t feel like he had put much effort in. At the price tag i heard an assistant discussing with a a visitor, i’d want a bit more for my money.

More indifferent, than owl.
